The Art of the Bridal Bouquet

A bouquet is carried for hours. It has to be beautiful and it has to behave.

The Art of the Bridal Bouquet

A bridal bouquet is the only floral piece that moves all day, so it is designed as much for the hand as for the camera.

**Weight.** A bouquet that is too heavy shows in the shoulders within an hour. We build the structure first and add volume with lighter stems.

**Movement.** Loose, asymmetric shapes photograph better than tight domes because they read differently from every angle.

**Ribbon.** Hand-dyed silk finishes the stems and carries the palette into the smallest detail.

**Conditioning.** Stems are cut and conditioned the morning of the wedding. Nothing else keeps a bouquet looking alive at midnight.
